How do I join?

You are welcome to drop by and meet other young people who identify as LGBT or questioning their sexuality.

The Youth Workers usually speak with you on the phone and arrange to meet with you before you come along to the group, so that you know what to expect.

It’s ok to bring a friend with you.

And if you are comfortable we have met with parents or carers too…some parents/carers can be very supportive if you come out to them and others find it more difficult to accept…but this group is here to support YOU.

We are happy to meet with your parents/carers to support them in supporting you. While some young people have great difficulty in communicating with their parents/carers at all and experience rejection around their sexuality the response of others has been accepting and supportive.

This initial meeting is a chance for you to check out any concerns you might have and gives us the opportunity to explain our confidentiality policy that keeps the group a safe place and enables you to become a member.
