Ground rules
Our ground rules are about respecting ourselves and others.
YouthPride is used by a variety of young people, from 14-19years and
senior helpers 19-21years who may differ in, gender, sexuality, ethnic
origin, physical or mental ability or be a member of a particular
community. These differences deserve our respect and acknowledgement.
- No one should experience physical, verbal, racial or sexual abuse.
- Physical expressions of support are not always appropriate or
welcome; people differ in what they consider to be their space.
- Language can both offend and exclude people either through its
content or the way it is used.
- Personal information may not be disclosed without consent- so
knowledge of someone’ sexuality is strictly confidential.
To put equal opportunity in practice let’s ensure YouthPride is a
welcoming place for everyone who uses, visits or works where we meet.
